According to two Supreme Justice court decisions in the late 1980s, if a company can show it has taken steps to address and prevent harassment, it is not liable for it’s employees behaviors. Many companies offer some sort of sexual harassment training, which covers some part of the “prevent’ part of the Supreme Court’s standard but focused training efforts is only a part of a comprehensive sexual harassment prevention strategy.
This complimentary webinar session reviews additional steps employers can take to help create a sexual harassment prevention program or strengthen the one they currently have.
The editor and host of the Set to Lead Podcast, Mary Ann Samedi and her guest Carolyne Kalson, Employment Labor Attorney discuss a 5 Part Prevention Model for creating a strong sexual harassment prevention plan. Both ladies walk through the model and detail considerations for every sexual harassment prevention program:
- Policy
- Culture
- Communications
- Training
- Evaluation Processes
Organizations that display a visible commitment to implementing the five elements of this prevention model will show they really care about preventing harassment in their organization. Listen now and kick off your planning for the upcoming year.
While the tips in the webinar will help with your own internal harassment prevention strategy, you may not have a dedicated HR department or Legal Counsel and prefer to have an experienced third-party conduct employee and manager sexual harassment training sessions.
If this is your situation, Kalson Law has partnered with Set to Lead to provide a simple, engaging, and informative online and webinar-based harassment training program that will ensure your employees are knowledgeable and up to speed on this topic.
