Welcome!
We value your interest in the Set to Lead podcast. Each episode uncovers insights on how to do better on your leadership journey. Our audience wants to listen to failures, victories, and everything in between to help them elevate their thoughts, their behavior, and their words. The show is hosted by Mary Ann Samedi who is a seasoned talent development leader and practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the workplace. She believes that all show guests are co-hosts and likes to call them “guest mentors” who want to educate, share, and build more leaders. Take a look at the two ways you can participate on the podcast below.
Way 1 record a 30 minute live episode. (only audio podcasts at this time.) | way 2 submit a 60 second pre-recorded insight. |

Requirements for a Live Recorded Show or a Pre-recorded Insight
- Your picture AND bio are both required to publish a live recorded show or pre-recorded leadership tip.
- Email a high-resolution head shot to maryann@amazingappeal.com.
- Also, email a short 3 sentence bio including how they can follow your work.
Basic Guidelines for Pre-recorded Insights
- State your first and last name.
- Mention your company name, website, book or blog only once during the recording. Don’t get spammy/sale-sy. (And no need to mention “www,” just give the URL after that. For example, “Set to Lead Dot Com.”)
- Keep your leadership advice to the point and under one minute in length. If it goes a little over, that’s fine, but keep it short and sweet.
- Please only address ONE topic per voicemail (but feel free to leave multiple voicemails if you’d like). EXAMPLE: “Hello there…this is <enter name> and <enter background information>. Here’s my leadership advice…”
IMPORTANT NOTE: By submitting recording a live show or providing a pre-recorded leadership tip, you’re allowing us to share it publicly on the podcast and/or blog page.
